Siemens Test Automation

As a Test Automation Engineer (Werkstudent) at Siemens, I developed a comprehensive new End-to-End testing suite for a complex internal web application. The role involved ensuring software quality through automated testing strategies, with continuous integration and development of the test infrastructure. I designed and implemented automated tests covering critical user journeys, API integrations, and system interactions. Using the modern testing framework "Playwright" and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines, I helped establish quality standards and prepare the software infrastructure for a larger planned rebuild. The position provided deep insights into enterprise-scale software development practices, including agile methods, version control workflows, CI/CD, server infrastructure, and collaboration within large, distributed teams. I contributed to improving test standards and documentation, enhanced the overall quality assurance process, and helped train my successor at the end of my employment.
