Welcome to My Thoughts
Welcome to my blog! I want to briefly explain my motivation here, what you can expect as a reader, and how I will structure my blog. I will provide a thematic overview below, and will adjust this from time to time and include links to newer articles on the blog and other pages of my website, so this article will also serve as a kind of index for the entire blog.
Why I Write Here
Ideas without following actions are empty. I have a lot of ideas, but unfortunately they are often too big to implement completely, or I have let doubts, insecurities, and other practical hurdles hold me back so far. Sometimes I simply don't know how I can or should implement them at all... that's why in my eyes it is a good first step to formulate and present them first. Despite all doubts, I am sure that my individual perspective is useful, and that it is also useful for me to structure and concretize my ideas and thoughts. I hope, of course, to be informative and useful to you as a reader, and I plan a comment function, so I also hope that your feedback can be informative and useful to me. In the best case, I also reach people with similar ideas and provide inspiration, perhaps trigger your own thoughts or motivate you to implement your ideas. Possibly contacts and cooperations will even arise where I can help in the implementation of ideas. If you see potential here, feel free to simply book a introductory session with me.
What Awaits You
In the blog I will write in various formats, and even if I may not always be able to separate them clearly, I will try to categorize them with the tags in the system. Frequent types of articles will be:
- Commentaries, thoughts on media (books, films, videos, other content, rarely perhaps on news that interests me).
- Research Reports, scientifically and technically formulated, with data reference or source citations and from a transparent and methodically critical perspective.
- Whitepapers and concept formulations of technical and theoretical ideas.
For clarification, I will write everything here myself. Even though I will use AI for research and translation, it is very important to me that the core of the content comes directly from me, even if it is then possibly less elegantly formulated than by modern AI.
Thematic Focus Points
I do not want to strictly limit the topics it will be about here, but important focal points will probably be the following:
Information Theory and Fundamental Physics
On this fundamental level I see:
- Mathematics, Logic, Game Theory
- (Quantum) Physics
- Philosophy
- Psychology
- Scientific Methodology
In information theory, I see the fundamental core of my way of thinking. In the broadest sense, information theory probably includes many perspectives and models that help in dealing with information - and thus with thinking itself. It is literally the model of models - a way of thinking with which we try to explain how thinking itself works. At the same time, the different ways of thinking are mostly shaped by experimental and physical insights, and have developed historically together with our general worldview. I find the ideas of Stephen Wolfram particularly exciting here, which closely connect physics and information theory, but philosophical and psychological insights are also very relevant.
Decentralization and Democratization
Here lies an important core of my practical motivation, and in this context too there is a broad spectrum of relevant topics:
- Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies
- Encryption and Communication Technologies
- Decentralized Networks and Peer-To-Peer Communication
- Social Structures and Democratic Processes
Bitcoin specifically has inspired me greatly with its fundamental technological breakthroughs, and the underlying principles can be applied to many other problems and still have revolutionary potential today. These topics are very complex and abstract, and there are also very interesting hurdles and problems to solve in implementation. Nevertheless, I believe that these topics will accompany us for a long time, and especially in the area of social structuring and digital democracy there is much to discover which will only slowly play out and develop over the next decades.
Artificial Intelligence
AI has been on everyone's lips since the breakthrough of language models, and was a great interest of mine even before that, which I can now apply more concretely on practical levels through the new developments. This subject area is also very versatile and complex:
- Programming and Automation
- Linguistics and Natural Language Processing
- Theory and Philosophy of Mind and AI
- Singularity and Superintelligence
- Ethics and Cooperative Use
- Impact on Society and Economy
Artificial Intelligence has become an intense focus point for me, which not only includes many different subtopics, but also touches virtually all of my other interests. There is a lot of theory and speculation here, at the same time the topic is more tangible and practicable than ever before, and through reflection on the various insights, many insights can also be gained in other areas. So artificial intelligence already gives us better insight into our human intelligence, and into what distinguishes us as humans. AI gives us possibilities for our future further development, which we could previously only imagine to some extent in science fiction, and at the same time harbors enormous dangers which we must face in order to shape this future positively.
Consciousness Research and Spirituality
This is the subject area that is probably hardest to grasp, I find it the most interesting at the same time. Here, too, various perspectives flow together:
- Modern and archaic spirituality of all kinds
- Philosophy and Psychology
- Theology, religious traditions
- Shamanism, Alchemy, Hermeticism
- Eastern Religions and Traditions
I do not want to reduce myself to specific thought and belief frameworks here and find it particularly interesting to juxtapose and compare the different perspectives. Of course I have preferences and personal views here, but the most valuable insights come in my opinion from the combination of different models. That's why I am very open to the various traditions and frameworks, even if they contradict each other and are difficult to understand.
Let's go
There isn't much more to say for now. Feel free to drop by here from time to time, I will try to insert both new content and new features for the blog over time.
